Beaches

Long flat white beaches with easy access, stretch from Milnerton to Melkbos,  all with world famous views of Table Mountain and Robben Island.

Sport and recreation

 Wind sports  Blouberg is world renowned as a venue for wind sports enthusiasts. Windsurfers  & kite boarders from all over the world, spend the summer months
 making the  most of the prevailing South Easter.

There are excellent golf course in the area, Sunset Links, Milnerton and Atlantic Beach

 Virgin Active, Planet Fitness and Curves are all established in the area, offering a  variety of fitness options.

Motor racing

 Killarney racetrack in the area caters for motor racing enthusiasts.

Boating

Milnerton Aquatic Club (MAC) is on Rietvlei, a large stretch of water in the heart  of the area. Rietvlei is a wet land and conservation area, home to a variety of  water birds. 
Work

Many residents of the Blouberg area work in the nearby areas of Montague Gardens & Killarney Gardens. All the large wholesalers and many factories have retail outlets in these areas. Blouberg is also within easy reach of the Northern Suburbs, Century City and is approximately 20kms from the City Centre.
 
Shopping

The Blouberg area is very well served with shopping centres. There are large, one-stop type malls such as Bayside, many smaller neighbourhood centres and the Canal Walk shopping centre only about 15 minutes away.

Airport

The journey from the Blouberg area to Cape Town International Airport will take about 30 minutes, dependent on the time of day and route taken.

Dining Out

Blouberg offers a wide variety of restaurants to suit all tastes and pockets. There are several excellent restaurants along the beachfront with great food & often the added bonus of being able to enjoy the spectacular views. Recently opened at Big Bay, Eden on the Bay boasts trendy, innovative and exciting venues right on the beach, including world famous Moyo.

Education

The area is exceptionally well served with every type of educational facility. From day care to pre-school, right through to matric, both public and private schools cater for Blouberg families. The University of Cape Town and various other tertiary institutions are  approximately 25 kms from Blouberg.

Medical

There are 2 major hospitals, Blaauwberg Net Care and Milnerton Medi-Clinic, and several smaller medi-clinics as well as many medical practices. Some pharmacies and clinics also offer in-house testing services at very reasonable rates. Milnerton Medi-Clinic’s pharmacy is open until 9pm 7 days a week.
